<p><strong>Membership:</strong> Ecosystem Guardians (scientists, Indigenous knowledge-keepers, selected by lot)</p>
<p><strong>Powers:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Review all legislation for ecological impact</li>
<li>Veto authority over ecologically destructive policies</li>
<li>Enforce Rights of Nature</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Care Principle:</strong> Ecosystems cannot vote, but they deserve representation</p>
<p><strong>How This Works:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Ecosystem Assembly is a full branch of government</strong> (equal to Legislative Assembly)</li>
<li><strong>Ecosystem Guardians elected/selected</strong> by communities in relationship to those ecosystems</li>
<li><strong>Guardians have veto power</strong> over legislation harming ecosystems</li>
<li><strong>Legislative Assembly can override veto</strong> with 67% supermajority + approval from Office of Future Generations</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>This is democracy expanded beyond humans to include the web of life</strong></p>
